Planting the seeds for a healed, whole, and vibrant Woodstock through community conversation!

Good people are increasingly feeling isolated or stuck in their tribal corners or let down by their social lives and connection. Yet, most of us want more authentic, human connection with those in their physical community.

This is the work of BreakBread World

We support communities, organizations, and everyday people to gather and connect with more intention and depth. To reweave our common humanity one gathering at a time. We do this by leading community BreakBreads, and by offering community support for people to host their own BreakBreads,

BreakBread is a quiet oasis where you show up as you are –

to listen, share, laugh, and connect. Each dinner revolves around a carefully crafted prompt that cuts through small talk. Every gathering is different and every conversation unique as we open unexpected vistas of inspiration and connection that linger long after dinner is done.

At intimate tables of 6, we explore a carefully crafted prompt. Here is this gathering’s prompt on HOME.

“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” ~Maya Angelou

What is home for you? Share a story of home or the ache for home.

What to bring?

  • This is a community potluck. Please bring a delicious dish for 6 to share. When you register, you’ll be prompted to indicate what you plan on bringing.
  • We prefer to not use disposable dinnerware if possible so we invite you to bring your dish, cutlery and utensils.
  • Most importantly, bring an open mind with an extra helping of curiosity.

What’s the flow?

  • Doors open at 5:15, you will have a chance to locate your seat, label the dish you brought, and mingle a bit.
  • At 6:00 we circle up to get present, connect to the purpose and go over some guidelines.
  • Then we get our food and go to our respective tables of 6 to get to know each other and have a 1 hour conversation around the evening’s prompt (see the above section for the prompt).
  • At the end, we will circle back up for an intentional closing.

What happens after our BreakBread gathering?

  • We will send a follow up email with photos and takeaways.
  • If you feel called, host your own BreakBread or attend one
  • We reconvene in MAY
